The Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) at Behboud Hospital, drawing on the most advanced medical equipment and an experienced team of specialists, operates as one of the most modern cardiovascular care centers in the region. With 9 inpatient beds equipped with cardiac and pulmonary monitors, including one bed for special procedures and one isolation bed meeting special standards, the unit provides a safe and controlled environment for cardiac patients.

Advanced Equipment and Facilities
- Advanced central monitoring: Simultaneous monitoring of all patients’ vital signs, including cardiac rhythm, blood pressure, and blood oxygen level.
- Specialized beds: Ergonomic design with smart adjustment for patient comfort and easy access for the care team.
- Mobile diagnostic equipment: Bedside ultrasonography, radiography, echocardiography, and electrocardiography.
Specialized Services Provided
- Intensive care for patients with acute cardiac problems (myocardial infarction, heart failure, dangerous arrhythmias)
- Monitoring and treatment of patients after cardiac surgery
- Transfusion of blood and blood products under close supervision
- Advanced diagnosis and monitoring:
- Echocardiography
- Electrocardiography (ECG)
- 24-hour Holter monitoring of heart rate and blood pressure
- Specialized testing of body secretions
- Central venous catheter (CVC) placement under ultrasound guidance for greater accuracy and reduced complications
- Dialysis for patients admitted to the hospital
- Myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) for outpatients and inpatients
Care Team and Management
The head of the CCU at Behboud Hospital, in addition to clinical management, also leads the unit’s educational working group. In this unit:
- A cardiologist is present 24 hours a day.
- Experienced nurses and staff with extensive expertise in cardiac intensive care provide services around the clock.
- Support services: respiratory and physical physiotherapy, nutritional counseling, and clinical psychology are provided in the unit.
Visiting Conditions
To preserve patient calm and facilitate the course of treatment, open visiting hours are available for companions. Companions may visit their loved ones throughout the day in compliance with health protocols.
