Internal Medicine Inpatient Ward

The Internal Medicine Ward of Behboud Specialty and Subspecialty Hospital began operating in 1401 (2022). With an experienced and committed staff and a calm, attractive environment, the ward provides an ideal setting for caring for patients who are emotionally fragile.

Since its opening, the ward has hosted many patients suffering from a variety of internal conditions, and the high level of satisfaction expressed by patients and their companions is a testament to the unit’s strong capacity to deliver effective, high-quality care.

Location and Physical Specifications

The Internal Medicine Ward is located on the fourth floor of the hospital and has 18 active beds, comprising:

• Two 3-bed rooms
• Four 2-bed rooms
• Two private rooms
• One isolation room
• One day room

To ensure comfort and tranquility for patients and their companions, all rooms are equipped with modern amenities, including: television, companion sofa-bed, refrigerator, dedicated wardrobe, direct telephone line, private restroom, modern heating and cooling system, suitable views and natural light, and a pleasant physical environment.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services

For patients admitted to this ward, all required diagnostic and therapeutic measures are performed by hospital personnel, including:

Echocardiography, endoscopy, colonoscopy, CT scan, MRI, radiography, nuclear scan, physiotherapy, and various laboratory tests. This inter-departmental coordination allows the course of treatment to be followed without moving the patient, so that families can witness their loved one’s recovery in a calm setting.

Special Capabilities

Drawing on the high knowledge and skill of its personnel, this ward also functions as a POST ICU / POST CCU unit, accommodating patients in need of special care after discharge from the intensive care units.
