Pharmacy
The pharmaceutical system of Behboud Hospital is a comprehensive complex including various warehouses for storage and physical and statistical inventory control systems, a pharmaceutical system supplying the medication needs of inpatients in the wards, and two retail pharmacies serving outpatients of the specialty clinics and patients from outside the hospital.
The central pharmacy is located at the entrance of the hospital and operates 24 hours a day, while the second pharmacy is located adjacent to the emergency department and operates during daytime hours. This arrangement enhances client convenience, satisfaction, and safety by reducing congestion and improving accuracy and efficiency. The hospital pharmacy holds contracts with various insurance organizations and bodies (listed below) and is ready to serve esteemed citizens and clients.
Pharmacy Insurance Contracts
Social Security Organization, Health Insurance Organization, Medical Services, Armed Forces, banks (Melli, Mellat, Sepah, Tejarat, Markazi, Saderat, Keshavarzi, Sanat va Madan, Parsian), National Iranian Oil Company, Ayandeh Saz, Tractor Manufacturing, Mes Sungun, Tose’e Tejarat Kish, Dana, Iran, Asia, Tejarat-e No, Moallem, Ayandeh Saz Pension Fund, most factories and government offices in the province, and supplemental insurance such as Day Insurance (esteemed families of martyrs, veterans, and the disabled), Kowsar, Mokammel Iran, Atieh Sazan Hafez, and Tose’e Tejarat.
The hospital pharmacy procures medications required for its inpatient and outpatient sections from authorized pharmaceutical companies, mostly from well-known Iranian and foreign brands. Most of these medications are selected with input from physicians and the hospital’s medication and treatment committee. Services in the hospital pharmacy are provided under the supervision of several pharmacists and experienced pharmacy technicians; according to most clients and surveys, it is among the most well-equipped and trusted pharmacies in the province. As a result, the hospital pharmacy has been selected by the provincial Food and Drug Deputy as one of the designated pharmacies for distributing certain special food and pharmaceutical allocations.
In addition to providing pharmaceutical services, this pharmacy also conducts certain scientific pharmaceutical activities. Presentations of conferences, the preparation and authoring of pharmacopoeial materials for the hospital, and the dedicated booklet of medications for the operating room and the intensive care unit (ICU) serve as a reliable scientific resource for the use of the hospital’s physicians and clinical staff.
